Thermoset Materials

Thermoset materials are rigid and glass-like polymer materials. At high pressure and high temperatures, plastics are bonded together by a chemical reaction, while Thermoset materials cannot be reshaped after curing. Thermoset materials are used for demanding requirements such as heat resistance, chemical resistance, strength and electrical insulation properties.

Composite materials made from thermoset materials have good dimensional stability and maintain their electrical and dielectric properties, as well as their resistance to chemicals or organic solvents, even at high operating temperatures. Therefore, even without halogen flame retardants, they comply with the required fire protection standards, so it is possible to obtain a halogen-free UL94 V0 class product.
